Cryptnote

Cryptnote
Cryptnote is a tiny portable program that takes up a bit more than 20KB. Cryptnote uses AES/Rijndael algorithm to encrypt your text files and is great for storing those bits of data that you want to keep secure.

Kpad

Kpad
Kpad is a 104KB sized file and is a simple RTF editor with an enough features to make it a worthwhile application to carry on your USB device. Nothing fancy, but kpad offers the usual font style, color and size change options and also a few unique options like offering a highlighter and the ability to change background color.

MyCPU

MyCPU
MyCPU provides a host of information about your CPU like processor type and speed, vendors name, cache size, CPU family and model. MyCPU takes-up a mite less then 100KB, that is, 99.9KB to be exact.

WinRoll

WinRoll
WinRoll weighing in at 23.5KB is the portable rendition of desktop application that allows you to roll-up your application windows to their title bars with a click of the right mouse button. WinRoll once accessed puts an icon in the system tray and will help keep your desktop from becoming too cluttered. WinRoll is one of the coolest portable applications that I have reviewed so far, but then I haven ’t got to the others yet.

WirelessNet

WirelessNetView
WirelessNetView is one of many portable applications offered by Nirsoft. WirelessNetView, a 55.6KB sized program will provide a host of information about any wireless networks it detects.

Calander

Calend_r
Calend_r is bitter larger than most of other applications being reviewed in this post, but at 125KB Calend_r offers a monthly calendar and allows you to keep track of your daily events. Events are stored in a configuration file so acting like a archive for older events.

Eve

Eve
Eve is a vector editor and although only 181KB, offers a lot of functionality for its size. Vector graphics are comparable to bitmap graphics in some ways, but do scale better than their counterpart. Eve includes a list of primitive shapes and does allow importing of bitmap based images like GIF and JPG’s. Eve may be small and portable, but is quite sophisticated capabilities. I highly recommend that you read its FAQ and manual.

Tpianoe

Tpiano-e
Tpiano-e, an approximately 26KB application, is electronic keyboard that is full of features. Tpiano-e offers 126 different keyboard sound effects, plays 15 tones simultaneously, allows you to record your master pieces and saves files as MIDI ‘s. That makes Tpiano-e a MIDI creation tool and a very hip portable application. Imagine having your own portable keyboard with you wherever you go.

SmSniff

Smsniff
Smsniff is a portable packet sniffer and is approximately 80KB. Packet sniffers capture the packets that pass through your network adapter. Packet sniffers allow you to analyze network problems, detect network intrusions, monitor network usage, gather data about your network, and even spy on network users. Another great portable network tool by Nirsoft.

SeaBattle

Battle
Battle is the largest program in this collection and although Battle is a 284KB file I thought it fitting (no pun intended) to include it. “All work and no play…” Battle is a miniature, and of course, portable rendition of the classic board game Battleship.
