DATE:23-July-2008 Microsoft Virtual Machine 2007 offers several network adapter options. A network adapter allows you to connect your Virtual Machines to local or virtual networks, and allow you to access the Internet from the host system while isolating your virtual machine from the Local Area Network. Not Connected: Disables the network adapter and networking will not be available on the virtual machine. Local Computer Network Adapter: This option allows you to connect to physical LAN and communicate with the local computer. Local Only: Allows for communication between other virtual machines, but not on the physical LAN. Shared Networking (NAT): This option allows you to create a private network and allows you to connect to the Internet via the host machine, but does not allow the VM to connect to the LAN.
