DATE: 18-June-2008 Relief Map GeneratorThe Map generator creates random maps. The maps consist of land and water grids and are populated with town and city names that are chosen randomly from two text databases. The databases one Hungry and the other Italian include a few dozen name of towns and cities. The databases are in plain text so you could create your own town and city databases in Notepad or add to the existing databases. The generated maps are saved as bitmaps, but could be saved in formats. The Relief Map Generator has settings that allow for the relief of density, allow you to choose between city databases, width and height of the map, ratio of water, land and towns. All maps created by the map generator are public domain and might be great for board and electronic strategy games. |
