| Symptom | Solution | Left ruler is not accessible |
Switch to Print Layout. View-Print Layout |
| Toolbars are not available | Click on View-Toolbars and choose (check) toolbars that you wish to access. |
| Toolbar options that are normally there are not available |
1. Check to see whether toolbars are on one row. 2. Go the Toolbar Option button and choose Show buttons on Two Rows (far right-hand side of toolbar) |
| Drawing canvas appears when you use AutoShapes | Go to Tools-Options. Click on the General tab. Uncheck the Automatically create drawing canvas when inserting AutoShapes |
| Scroll or Status bars are not accessible | Go to Tools-Options-View tab. Check options that are unchecked |
