Scribus Portable

Scribus is an open source and portable application that can be used to create flyers, brochures, and newsletters. Scribus offers four basic layouts that will allow you to create one page, double page booklets, and three and four panel brochures.

Scribus also offers several templates to get you started with the creation of newsletters, brochures, or PDF presentations. Although other open source productivity software like Open Office may be compatible with Microsoft equivalents, Scribus uses a proprietary format and sorry to say, is not compatible with Microsoft Publisher. Scribus may not be as feature rich as Microsoft Publisher, but does offer more than enough features to create professional looking publications and is the only portable DTP program that I know of.
