I own several computers one of those being a Presario SR1426NX. I am currently running Windows XP and frequently run multiple virtual machines, which require a lot of memory. With the price of memory continuing to fall I decided to purchase three 512MB modules.

Before the upgrade I had 1GB of memory, which was fine for performing most operations. I had two 256MB modules and one 512MB. My system’s maximum allowed memory is 4GB, but after the upgrade I have 2GB.  I should have enough system resources to run my applications now.
