1. The Freesound Project:
The Freesound Project is a collaborative database of Creative Commons licensed sounds. The Freesound focuses only on sound, not on songs.

2. Sound Seeker:
Sound Seeker is a mash up of Google Maps and sound bytes recorded around New York City. Sound Seeker does require all of the latest browser plug-ins.

3. Google:
Although Google is synonymous with searching for stuff online Google offers so much more: online applications, customizable homepage, alerts, email and online storage.

4. Flickr:
Want to get your work noticed? Flickr is image sharing social network and offers the viewer millions of images to browse, groups to join and plenty of socialization.

5. Daily Cup of Tech:
Daily Cup of Tech dishes up practical and useful hacks.

6. Life Hacker:
Life Hacker provides good advice on multiple topics including on how to stay organized, getting things done and a myriad of technical tips.

7. Distro Watch:
Distro Watch keeps me abreast the latest Linux distro’s or distributions.

8. Red Ferret:
Red Ferret is a slick online magazine that features the latest gadgets and several long listings: 101 Gadget Sites, 1m free music tracks, Cool sites & services, and Free software which I still haven’t got through.

9. What Is (Blog):
The What Is Blog is updated periodically throughout the month and features technology trivia, news and the results of some random searches. It all makes for some interesting reading.

10. Make use of:
Make use of is another technical Blog that I keep my eye on. There is always something fresh and interesting here. If you scroll to the bottom of the page you will find a link for older entries.
